I write this in the last week of the year.  The strange time between Christmas and the new year when i don’t know what day of the week.  The fridge is emptying out of the last of the Christmas leftovers and we have eaten our way through most of the mince pies and Christmas chocolates.

This is the time of year that I usually think about the year that was and start looking to the year that will be. 

Its just 12 days to Christmas and we are busy little elves sending out many baking and decorating kits.  It is an exciting time.  And so lovely to see how well received our kits have been here in Singapore.  We have are on to our third shipment of baking and decorating kits!  We feel truly blessed. It is the 1st of December!  First Mince Pie of the season!!!!!! We usually put up our Christmas Tree today, but as Jordan will not be home till the 9th of December, we will not be doing this just yet.  Instead I have decided to create a christmassy floral arrangement which i hope will fill our home with the smell of chrismas tree.  I love this quiet time before the festivities.  A  time to reflect on the year that has been before we get wrapped up in the parties and get togethers that come with the holiday season.  I love...

These Oatmeal Raisin Cookies are so easy to make, and bring in those lovely spicy smells into my kitchen that i long for.  I eat these usually after my dance classes for elevenses with an almond milk coffee.  The sweetness is just right and the oatmeal keeps me full a little longer.
